4 August: Songs of Love, Across Cultures

Join us for a heartwarming Community Sing session where we'll learn two beautiful love songs from different corners of the world. First, we'll explore "Rasa Sayang" – a joyful traditional folk song from Malaysia and Indonesia, celebrating warmth, togetherness and the feeling of love. Then, we'll learn the timeless Mandarin ballad "The Moon Represents My Heart" – made famous by Teresa Teng in 1977, using the moon as a symbol of deep and everlasting love. No singing experience needed – just bring your voice and your heart. All welcome!

About your Facilitator: Eric is the Art Facilitator at Te Atamira and leads the Community Night and Saturday Arts Social programme. With a passion for bringing people together through community activities including music, he loves sharing songs from different cultures that celebrate connection and joy.
