Bookings and Events Coordinator
You’ll be the go-to person for everything related to bookings and events at Te Atamira. From coordinating client bookings to ensuring seamless event delivery, you’ll work closely with our team to create unforgettable creative experiences. Whether it’s liaising with clients, preparing run sheets, or making sure every event runs like clockwork, you’ll be at the heart of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of bookings and event coordination, ensuring resources are optimally utilized.
• Liaise with clients, providing venue availability, quotes, and conducting site visits.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure they’re fully briefed on client requirements.
• Prepare weekly run sheets and oversee onsite event support for smooth operations.
• Implement security practices and manage the door security system for bookings.
• Maintain an organized front of house area during your shifts and act as a gallery guide.
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the arts, and a Duty Manager’s Certificate is a plus.
• A good understanding of Te Reo and Te Ao Māori kaupapa and tikanga Māori.

Front of House Coordinator
As the Front of House Coordinator, you will be the face of Te Atamira, ensuring all visitors experience a warm, inclusive, and informative welcome. Your role will involve guiding guests through our exhibitions, events, and performances, managing our boutique retail offerings, and facilitating real-time venue bookings. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, organized, and tidy environment for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome and assist visitors with inquiries, directions, and event details.
• Provide information on current and upcoming exhibitions, events, and programs.
• Manage front of house operations, including the retail space and ticket sales.
• Support event setups and pack-downs in collaboration with the Bookings and Events Coordinator.
• Perform various administrative tasks, including handling emails and event registers.
• Maintain health and safety protocols, ensuring all bookings and visitors are inducted into the facility safely.
What We’re Looking For:
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for the arts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in an arts or cultural setting.
• Understanding of Te Reo and Te Ao Māori kaupapa and tikanga Māori is a plus.

Programme Team Member (Casual)
Working under the supervision and guidance of the Education Manager, the Programme Team Member will assist and support in the delivery of our multi-disciplinary Arts programme for young people.
Positions available for afterschool and/or during the school holidays.
What We're Looking For:
• Passionate about working with young people
• Able to follow policies and procedures
• Confidence and leadership skills in order to run activities
• High level of adaptability and flexibility
• Cultural awareness, understanding and willingness
• Highly organised with good time management and organisational skills
• First Aid certificate desirable
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check.
