VENUE: Wānaka Community Hub
We are bringing our popular Free Community Nights to Wānaka! Join us each month for a free, drop-in night to explore diverse creative forms like singing, drawing, dancing, writing, sewing, and more. All levels and ages welcome – no experience needed. Come along and have fun with us! Next event: Tuesday 29 September, 6:30pm – 8pm
29 September: Exploring the Nature of Indian Ink (with Merle Sea)
In our very first session, participants will get a chance to explore a range of ways to work with Indian Ink. It is all about being playful! You will go on a short guided tour through a couple of different techniques with ink and water and see where it takes you. We will use traditional brushes and natural materials like feathers and sharpened sticks to create monochrome artworks. No experience needed – just bring an open mind and wear something dark that is not precious, in case you get some ink on it.
About Community Nights: Community Nights offer the Wānaka and Upper Clutha community a regular, free space where people can drop in, try something new and connect with others, no experience required, no pressure, most importantly no booking registration needed.
Thank you to Central Lakes Trust for bringing creativity to our community.
