Join artist Louise Parker for “Inverted Perspectives"; a 90 minute workshop and collaborative exhibition as part of the Queenstown Art Society’s RE:FRESH programme. Participants will make three white ceramic flowers inspired by Aotearoa’s iconic Mount Cook Buttercup (Ranunculus lyallii) to be installed in the Te Atamira gallery space as part of the RE:FRESH + Create part of the RE:FRESH exhibition.

The workshop will teach hand building techniques as well as the practicalities of firing and hanging. Participants will be able to keep their work once the exhibition is finished.

About Louise Parker:

Louise strives to take the ceramic medium as far beyond the mug as it will go. Over the years she’s created swarms of ceramic butterflies (“Butterfly Effect”), filled the Queenstown Garden’s pond with crowd-sourced lilies (“Echoes of narcissus”) and created wall hangings to illustrate the dark beauty of a pandemic (“R0=1”)

She’s worked extensively with the Queenstown Art Society and is always grateful for the support of the Wakatipu Potters Group.
