We're here to help families access holistic support for their neurodiverse tamariki within the Whakatipu Basin. Would you like to connect with other parents and caregivers in your community? Join the Pivotal Point Parent Support Group to talk, share and listen in a supportive environment. First Tuesday of every month, 9:15 - 10:45am | TŌNUI

We provide information, education and offer encouragement and connection on how to manage ongoing challenges by sharing a common experience.

Support groups run on the first Tuesday of each month 9:15am - 10:45am at Te Atamira. These sessions are free.

What is Neurodiversity?

Every child should have access to the help they need to maximise their learning potential within the school environment, without finances being a barrier.

Neurodiversity is an umbrella term that encompasses specific learning differences such as: Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism & Tic Disorders.

Neurodiversity recognises and celebrates the fact that we all have a brain that is wired differently in some way.

What we do

We provide local support groups, a free navigation service and screening service for neurodiversity and processing disorders through local schools. We facilitate workshops to educate whānau and educators and enable all tamariki to access specialist support by facilitating connection to services and minimising the financial barriers to access that support.

Navigation Service

Would you like advice on how to access support and services?

We help families and educators navigate the wide range of services available and can direct whānau to the most appropriate organisation or specialist to suit an individual child’s needs.

Use the Navigation Service Enquiry form to access our free navigation service and a member of the Pivotal Point team will be in touch to help.
