Join Natalia Lomeiko, Yuri Zhislin and Sarah Watkins for a night of Mozart, Brahms, Moszkowska and Sarasate.

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed violinist Natalia Lomeiko, Yuri Zhislin and Sarah Watkins to Te Atamira. 

Natalia has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in prestigious London venues Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Buckingham Palace, the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall. She has also performed with leading orchestras around the globe including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Lord Yehudi Menuhin. Natalia has been awarded with many prizes and awards throughout the world and described as ‘stunning’ and ‘one of the finest violinists in the world’. Natalia is currently a Professor of Violin at the Royal College of Music in London.

Yuri is described by The Strad as a 'virtuoso with a truly Romantic temperament', Yuri Zhislin enjoys an active and illustrious career as soloist and chamber musician. In 1991, Yuri entered the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with his father and later Dr Andrievsky, winning the title of the BBC Radio 2 Young Musician of the Year in 1993. The orchestras that Yuri performed with include the Oxford Philharmonic, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, the Lithuanian State Symphony and the Santiago de Chile Symphony, to name a few. Yuri is a professor of violin and viola at the Royal College of Music in London and is in high demand as a visiting professor at the European Summer Academies.

Pianist Sarah Watkins is a highly regarded performer and recording artist and a founding member of the acclaimed NZTrio. A graduate of New York’s Juilliard School, she regularly appears as a freelance player with the APO and ACO. Sarah is currently on the teaching staff at the University of Auckland.

Natalia, Yuri and Sarah will be performing works by Mozart, Brahms, Moszkowska and Sarasate. Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7pm.
