Come join Lisa Walker ONZM for a jewellery-making workshop that will involve investigation into the materials we have in our environment, and the potential these materials have to be made into jewellery. Through making, we'll discuss the issues of jewellery, life, and art. Runs 11am-5pm with a break for lunch.

In the 3-4 weeks leading up to the workshop, participants are invited to begin gathering a large and varied collection of materials. The more diverse and unexpected, the better, with the aim of building a substantial personal archive to work from on the day. You may find them on the street, in the rubbish, at the pub, at your workplaces. You might buy some materials from your favourite shops/second hand shops, or you may already have a collection at home.

It's very important that each person collect a good pile of materials by the time of the start of the workshop as they will be the basis of what we will make with during the workshop.

Lisa notes that she would hope you get obsessed with collecting and that some great, interesting things turn up.

Te Atamira will provide some basic tools and materials, but participants are asked to please bring their own lunch, and anything that you have collected and would like to use.
