Extra Lives – The Interactive Video Game Concert

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe, Extra Lives is the world’s first Audience RPG – a fully narrated, choose-your-own-adventure experience where you are the main character.

Created and performed by Los Angeles musician Michael Kohl, Extra Lives combines live guitar, video game nostalgia, comedy, audience participation and communal storytelling in a unique interactive adventure.

Michael performs the soundtrack live on guitar, using his own sound system to bring the world of Extra Lives to life. Your choices shape the story as you and the audience become the main characters in this immersive experience.

Whether you grew up playing video games or have never picked up a controller, Extra Lives is a fun, nostalgic and highly interactive adventure.

No app required – just bring your phone, your friends and your best (or worst!) decision-making instincts.

• ‍“If you are a fan of video games and more importantly video game music this is so much fun. Watching the adventure and listening to the music while asking yourself what game is this from. 11/10 would adventure again!!!”
• “5 stars! One of the best shows I’ve seen at the Fringe. Great musical performances and humour. I barely play video games but still loved it.”
• “Just a fun romp of a show — I would come time and time again if my schedule allowed it!”
