The Queenstown Arts Society (QAS) has been part ofthe fabric of the Queenstown creative community for nearly 65 years.

We are a community-focused visual arts organisation dedicated to supporting creativity at every stage. Whether you are an established artist or taking your first steps into the visual arts, QAS provides opportunities to learn, create, exhibit, and connect with others.

Throughout the year, we deliver exhibitions, workshops, classes, and community programmes that encourage artistic development and foster meaningful connections within our creative community.

Our activities include:

• Exhibitions - QAS presents two major exhibitions each year, showcasing the breadth and diversity of artistic talent across our region. We also manage the Laneway Showcase at Te Atamira, a permanent rotating exhibition featuring work by our local artists. All exhibitions provide opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their work.
• Workshops and Classes - providing opportunities to learn new skills, refine techniques, and explore a wide range of artistic practices. Current offerings include life drawing and portrait classes working from live models in a supportive studio environment, and we continue to expand our programme to provide new learning opportunities for our community.
• Creative Community Events - creating opportunities for artists and art lovers to meet, collaborate, share ideas and build connections.

QAS welcomes artists and art enthusiasts of allages and experience levels.
