Queenstown Arts Society (QAS) has been woven into the fabric of the Queenstown creative community for over 60 years.

We are a visual arts-based community-focussed society that provides ways for creatives to continue exploring and expanding their owncreativity. We are very keen to help those new to the visual arts to find a way to begin and be inspired.

We run exhibitions (including a permanent rotating showcase at Te Atamira of artwork for sale called Laneway Showcase), workshops/classes and offer ways for local creatives to connect and find community. Join our inspiring life drawing classes with professional artist and experienced tutor Kasia Hebda. We offer a year-long series ofwelcoming, skill-building classes designed for our creative community. Each session provides the unique opportunity to draw from a live model in asupportive studio environment.

• Life Portrait Classes – focus on capturing facial expression, proportion and character of each model.
• ‍Life Drawing Classes – explore the humanform through nude life drawing, developing observation, structure andtechnique.
