Our popular Free Community Nights are now in Wānaka too! Join us each month for a free, drop-in night to explore diverse creative forms like singing, drawing, dancing, writing, sewing, and more. All levels and ages welcome – no experience needed. Come along and have fun with us! Next event: Tuesday 27 October, 7pm – 8pm
27 October: Come Sing for Fun (with Anna Shaw)
In this session participants will experience singing in harmony in a safe and fun environment. We will learn a collection of beautiful songs from around the world. Come and be brave, surprise yourself. Have you ever secretly wanted to sing with others but been too shy to try it? This is the perfect opportunity. There will be safety in numbers so you won’t feel exposed.

About the facilitator:
Anna Shaw has either sung in or directed choirs for most of her life. She has run Songcatcher (Wanakapella) here in Wanaka since 2001. They meet once a week to learn new repertoire and to experience the joy of communing through song. Songcatcher have performed for many community events over the years, a highlight being singing in The Crystal Palace for The Festival of Colour in 2023. Watch this space for a concert towards the end of the year!
About Community Nights: Community Nights offer the Wānaka and Upper Clutha community a regular, free space where people can drop in, try something new and connect with others, no experience required, no pressure, most importantly no booking registration needed.
